MY JOURNEY

KATIE WHEATON BA (Hons) DIP B.A.N.T is a registered Nutritional Therapist based at Treat, Norwich, Norfolk. She trained at the renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where clinical practice underpins the training alongside Nutritional Science.

My journey to health has been a conscious commitment to support my symptoms naturally, and avoid merely masking the issues, which would often return again and again, as I wasn't''t getting to the root cause.

As a child I suffered terribly with ear infections, asthma and eczema.  As a teen I suffered with migraines, endometriosis, anxiety, low resilience to deal with stress, allergies, bloating, poor immunity, and undiagnosed food intolerances.

The real turning point for me was when I travelled to Nepal and met with an Ayurvedic doctor.  Ayurveda was my first introduction to the concept of biochemical individuality and personalised medicine, and uses an integrative approach to medicine.  When you work with the body naturally, and give it the right environmental conditions, it intuitively knows how to heal itself.

I can now say that I have optimal energy levels, reduced anxiety, pain free periods, clear skin, and a lifestyle that supports health and vitality."

KATIE's MINDFUL KITCHEN was founded on the belief that food is medicine and is not just about what we eat, but how we eat. The journey from seed to plate is equally important as this can affect the nutritional content of the food. Seasonality and diversity of foods are weaved in to Katie's programmes.

Katie's passion is helping people nourish body and mind for optimal health.  Her self sustaining programmes will guide you back to a rooted, more balanced state of health, and her approach is client-focused, personalised, educational, and collaborative.
